Established in 2006, Hisense Australia Pty Ltd is an Australian-based subsidiary of Hisense Company Ltd. headquartered in Qingdao, China.

It has since become one of Australia’s leading Consumer Electronics and Home Appliance brands, offering consumers high quality solutions across a growing range of product categories including TV, sound, refrigeration, laundry and air conditioning.  These products are distributed via more than 1,000 retail stores nationally, including major national Australian retailers and regional outlets across the country.

Innovations

In 2008, Hisense developed HICON, its intelligent transportation system. The HICON system, composed of self-adapting signaling and public transportation management, was utilized in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

In 2008, Hisense became the first and the only enterprise in the world, which independently developed and manufactured 10G PON photoelectric modules. It became the leading supplier of 10G PON photoelectric modules for large equipment in the global communications industry.

In 2008, Hisense launched its own LED backlight LCD TV, which made it the only enterprise in China and one of the only three enterprises in the world to place this type of TV on the market.

In 2014, Hisense developed the all-new technology, Degerm & SPA, which creatively combines with the positive and negative ion degerming technology and the ion hydrating preservation technology to keep food healthier and fresher.
