A new year brings an abundance of new TV shows to binge (sometimes too many to choose from)! We’ve compiled our top 7 most binge-able TV shows to sink your teeth into for 2018.

1. Maniac

Emma Stone and Jonah Hill team up for a retake on the 2014 Norwegian series which follows the lives of two psychiatric hospital patients. Keep your eyes peeled as this much-hyped show is set to drop on Netflix sometime in 2018.

2. Billions, Season 3

Not on the Billions bandwagon yet? Now’s the time. Homeland’s Damien Lewis plays corrupt hedge fund manager Robert Axelrod, with Paul Giamatti starring opposite as his nemesis, US Attorney Chuck Rhoades. Back for Season 3, Billions looks slicker and sexier than ever.

3. Altered Carbon

Helmed by one of the directors of Game of Thrones, this 10-part sci-fi series is set 300 years in the future where people’s consciousness can be downloaded into a series of bodies. A cross between West World and Black Mirror? We’re in.

Release date: Out now

Watch it if: You like mind-bending sci-fi

4. UnREAL Season 3

Often uncomfortable to watch (yet always entertaining), UnREAL gives viewers a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the manipulative world of reality dating shows. UnREAL chronicles the production dramas of making show-within-the-show ‘Everlasting’ – loosely based on the real-life experiences of an ex-Bachelor producer. It’s as juicy as you’d expect, and Season 3 is sure to be a ripper.

Watch it if: You love (or love to loathe) reality television

5. Mindhunter, Season 2

Season 2 is expected to be released in late 2018 – this is one you won’t want to miss.

6. Reign, Season 3

Game of Thrones, but in real life? Sort of, although Reign takes more than a few fictional liberties chronicling the rise of Mary, Queen of Scots. History buffs will love this award-winning drama tailor-made for the Outlander audience.

Release date: 15 February

Watch it if: You need a show to binge in-between Outlander and Game of Thrones

7. Troy: Fall of A City

Rumoured to be the next Game of Thrones, this 8part series is based on the mythical Trojan War (and the love affair that set it in motion). Co-produced by the BBC and Netflix, this show is definitely going to be a ‘reach for the popcorn’ guilty pleasure. Fall of a City premieres in the UK in late February – expect to see it hit our screens shortly after that.
