Despite all the global goings-on, 2020 has been another busy year for Hisense with lots of new and innovative products making headway into the market.
There were many things to celebrate, not least of all, the launch of the spectacular Hisense Dual Cell TV – a game-changing piece of technology that combines a monochrome panel with a 4K colour panel to provide precision light control that creates vibrant highlights, detailed gradients, and deeper blacks than ever before. We’re also proud to have launched yet another Laser TV our 100L5F, when it comes to Laser TV technology, Hisense is leading the way, with the ultimate aim of creating an impeccable home cinema experience.

Optimised and improved user experience
2021 will see a further upgrade to Hisense’s VIDAA Operating System with the launch of VIDAA U5. The latest version comes straight out of the blocks with a 20% improvement in speed*, making it even faster and easier to search and navigate. There’ll also be a lot more to navigate with the addition of new Australian and international apps. New built-in billing and payment functionality will allow consumers to subscribe and pay for access to third-party apps from the comfort of the VIDAA U5 home screen. With Google Assistant built-in and with vastly improved search functionality, users will be able to search, navigate and offer commands more easily than ever before. The new VIDAA U5 OS also sees the arrival of the VIDAA Smart Remote. This new addition sees improvements in connectivity, search and overall functionality.
Far-field voice technology
Far-field voice recognition technology gives users the ability to interact with their Hisense TV using voice commands and prompts from a distance of up to 10 metres**. The integration of four multidirectional microphones allows users to use normal tone of voice to turn on the TV, turn on lights, or interact with any Google Assistant compatible device from anywhere within earshot. Users can access various media types quickly and easily as well as performing searches and many other tasks.
Kayo is coming
Kayo is coming You asked and we listened. The leading sports streaming service, Kayo will be joining the suite of apps on select Hisense TVs equipped with VIDAA U5. We’re excited to finally be able to offer sports fanatics the best seat in the house with a jam-packed summer of sport ahead. From popular summer favourites such as cricket and tennis to live and historic replays. Keep up with every try, goal and big hit from throughout the years.
The Hisense ULED 8K TV Available This February
Hisense’s first-ever 8K TV to hit the Australian market will be packed with leading audio and visual technologies, including Quantum Dot Colour, Full Array Backlight, Full Array Local Dimming, Dolby Vision ™ HDR and Dolby Atmos® Audio. The result is a superior home-viewing experience, with unmatched colour accuracy and brightness that makes moving images come to life like never before.
Optimised upscaling with AI
The ULED 8K TV is equipped with Hisense’s patented Hi-View Engine that uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to recognise and improve low-resolution images. Upscaling Technology, as it’s known, vastly improves any image, rendering it in the best possible quality.
That means that whatever you’re viewing, whether it’s streaming, live TV, or gaming, the upscaled 8K resolution will provide the highest quality viewing experience at all times. The astonishing resolution of 8K generates incredible detail and makes the Hisense ULED 8K TV an absolute game-changer for 2021.
