Hisense Australia has announced the expansion of its premium Laser range at CES® 2024, with the unveiling of the new and highly-versatile C1 TriChroma Laser Mini Projector which will be available locally from Q2 . Forming part of Hisense’s expanded Australian Laser product range in 2024, the new C1 TriChroma Laser Mini Projector is Hisense’s first offering in a new sub-category – Premium Laser Long Throw Projection.

The C1 TriChroma Laser Mini Projector has been specifically engineered for the Australian market, featuring long-throw projection and innovative TriChroma Laser technology.

As a pioneer in the industry, Hisense has continued to push the boundaries of Laser technology in the home entertainment space, with over 1,800 applied patents. With Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos technology built-in across the range, to help deliver the highest audio and visual standards, the addition of a long throw laser projector means it’s never been easier to create the ultimate cinema experience regardless of your home setup.

“We are seeing strong appetite for our premium Laser technology in the Australian market. Hisense has continued to invest and innovate heavily in Laser technology, and we’re proud to offer an extended product range that just makes sense for Australians looking to bring the ultimate cinema experience into the home. The C1 TriChroma Laser Mini Projector forms the foundation of our entry into the new sub-category of premium laser long throw projection, and will provide another level of versatility for those looking to explore the incredible experience and benefits of our Laser range,” said Gideon Lui, Head of Marketing, Hisense ANZ.

Big screen versatility at its best: C1 TriChroma Laser Mini Projector joins Hisense’s Australian 2024 Laser Lineup

Building on the success of its existing ultra short-throw range which includes the L9H (a complete home cinema solution featuring an ambient light rejecting screen) as well as the standalone PX2-PRO and PL1H Laser TVs – all of which continue to be available in 2024 – the C1 TriChroma Laser Mini Projector becomes the brand’s most versatile Laser offering to date.

Underpinned by TriChroma Laser technology, the C1 TriChroma Laser Mini Projector’s adjustable screen size allows it to transform from 65-inches, up to a class-leading 300-inch projection size.

Despite such range, all screen sizes are delivered in crisp and clear 4K UHD resolution, with the C1 TriChroma Laser Mini Projector equipped with the full gamut of additional visual and audio features that Hisense’s customers have grown to expect from its premium home entertainment products. Hisense’s proprietary operating system – VIDAA U6 – also presents a familiar interface for the user.

Weighing in at just under 5kg, the C1 TriChroma Laser Mini Projector can be easily repositioned throughout the home without the need for heavy lifting or complicated installations. However, convenience and versatility shouldn’t come at the cost of image quality, and the C1 TriChroma Laser Mini Projector’s AutoMagic AI adjustment features deliver when it comes to the setup of this state-of-the-art offering.

The AutoMagic AI adjustment allows the C1 TriChroma Laser Mini Projector to be capable of fully automating its focus, keystone and screen alignment. Conveniently, auto obstacle avoidance also allows the product to revise its screen size, relative to features present on the surface used for the projection, such as a light switch or lamp in situ*. These features ensure the user can simply plug in, point and play their favourite content.

While great attention has been delivered to picture quality, audio has not been spared either. The C1 TriChroma Laser Mini Projector is equipped with a 1-litre Sound Chamber curated in collaboration with JBL. Also benefitting from the Dolby Atmos treatment, the C1 TriChroma Laser Mini Projector’s strong audio credentials ensure its usability as a standalone solution, as well as the capability for it to be integrated into an existing full home theatre setup.

“Hisense isn’t just a participant in the Laser category globally, we are the pioneer in this technology. We pride ourselves on our ability to push the boundaries of picture and audio quality in this broadening range of state-of-the-art products. To be able to do this, while also keeping a keen eye on the range’s sustainability credentials, is testimony to Hisense’s relentless pursuit to lead and define the Laser category,” Lui added.

Hisense’s Laser home entertainment products deliver enhanced sustainability credentials when compared to more traditional TV technologies, with the L9H TriChroma Laser TV and PL1H Laser Cinema boasting 92% and 91.2% recyclability rates respectively. In 2023, Hisense was granted a carbon footprint certification for its PL1H Laser Cinema product from TÜV Rheinland, a leading provider of technical services worldwide. The certification specifies principles, requirements and guidelines for the quantification and reporting of the carbon footprint of a product.

“Across the board, it’s clear that Laser home entertainment technologies are able to deliver big on-screen size, while also minimising our impact to the environment. We’re proud to hold ourselves in such high regard in this space, making us a clear choice for prospective owners,” Lui concluded.

Pricing for the C1 TriChroma Laser Mini Projector will be announced in March 2024, along with pricing for all existing Laser TV and Cinema products across the range.
