Can you believe that it’s November? With another year almost passed in the blink of an eye, and a new decade just under two months away, 2020 is guaranteed to be another great year for entertainment. The Irishman
De Niro, Pacino, Pesci. Do we really need to say any more about Martin Scorsese’s latest epic? Set in the 1950s, The Irishman tells the story of a truck driver named Frank Sheeran who gets caught up with Russell Bufalino and his Pennsylvania crime family in postwar America. With an all-star cast and Scorsese in the director’s chair, this is one of 2019’s most hotly anticipated movies, guaranteed to entertain.

The End of the F***ing World Season 2
Since it first hit Netflix in January 2018, eccentric teen drama The End Of The F***ing World has become a cult classic. With its graphic novel inspired story and its Tarantino True Romance-esque narrative and style, it’s easily one of the best shows to make a return to Netflix this November. If you watched season 1, there’s no doubt that you were left wondering what happened next. Season 2 returns with more cool factor and charm to leave you wanting even more.

The Tom Cruise Collection
Remember in the 80s and 90s when Tom Cruise was the hottest star in Hollywood? Well, now you can rewatch and enjoy some of his most epic performances in classics such as Mission: Impossible, Top Gun, Days Of Thunder and Jack Reacher. Stan is adding the ‘Tom Cruise Collection’ this November. What better way to spend an evening than with an epic throwback movie session.

One Child Nation
Directed by Nanfu Wang and Jialing Zhang, both of whom grew up in China under the one-child policy, this documentary details the untold history of China’s infamous birth planning program and how it went on to deeply affect parents and children involved. The documentary is an emotional rollercoaster, exploring the knock-on effects of a devastating social experiment that resulted in shocking human rights violations, from abandoned newborns, to forced sterilisations and abortions, and government abductions. It makes for some intense viewing but it’s well worth the watch.

Looking for Alaska
Looking for Alaska is an eight-episode series based on the best-selling novel of the same name by John Green. The drama tells the story of a new student who arrives to a boarding school and meets a young girl named Alaska. During his time getting to know and understand her, he slowly falls in love with her. But through his time with her, he finds out that her life isn’t as perfect as he thought.

Mary and Mike
From Chile comes this thrilling series based on real life events in the time of Pinochet, the one-time Chilean dictator. The series revolves around two people that appear to be an everyday couple with two children, except they are special agents tasked with assassinating people opposed to Augusto Pinochet. From what looks like a quiet suburban life in Santiago, Mary and Mike carry out espionage, poisoning, torture and wiretapping those who stand in Pinochet’s way.
