We won ‘Premium TV Solution of the Year’ for our 100-inch Laser TV!

This year saw the highly-anticipated launch of the all-new Hisense 100-inch 4K Ultra HD Smart Dual Colour Laser TV with HDR.

With a whopping 100-inch screen, the Hisense Laser TV offers viewers the chance to take the cinema into their home. This luxurious and highly immersive experience offers over 8 million pixels of breathtaking picture quality, which is complemented by superb sound technology that delivers a thrilling home viewing experience.

The launch of the Laser TV was undoubtedly one of the highlights of our year here at Hisense. It’s something that was a long time in the works, which made us all the more keen to see it in Australian’s homes.

Following a successful launch, we’re delighted to announce that the Hisense Laser TV has been awarded the ‘Premium TV Solution of the Year’ at the 2020 Sound+Image Awards. The judges decided to award Hisense for: ‘Using a laser light engine in a smart short-throw projector with a 100-inch ambient light rejecting screen and built-in speakers, to deliver cinematic big screen viewing with TV-like ease of use.’

Not only has it been a hit with the team at Sound+Image, but other tech experts also love it too!

According to Stephen Fenech from TechGuideAU, the Hisense Laser TV is ‘for customers who want to take their viewing experience well and truly to the next level’. He added, ‘the unit itself combines cinema-grade technology with sophisticated processing and precision smarts. The result is a stunning 100-inch picture from a unit that sits on top of a regular entertainment unit positioned just a few inches from the wall.’

Trevor Long from EFTM was equally impressed by the Laser TV’s tech credentials, and particularly by the screen’s ability to deal with light. He noted: ‘What’s quite amazing though is the technology in the screen itself ensures that other light in the room like your ceiling light – doesn’t glare or reflect off the screen – this is quite phenomenal.’

Editor of Gadget Guy, Ray Shaw, noted that even though the Hisense Laser TV is large, it still manages to feel compact and tidy since the projector can sit comfortably ‘on an entertainment unit or shelf about 60cm wide’. Shaw also noted how he was ‘impressed at the clarity, colour, saturation and hue in daylight and particularly the great off-angle viewing (unlike most TVs)’.

At Hisense, our vision for the 100-inch Laser TV was always about bringing the cinema home, so we’re delighted it’s receiving such positive feedback.
