World Cup Football on a ULED TV

As good as being there; a Hisense fan explains their journey to the 2018 FIFA World Cup, courtesy of their ULED TV.

Four years ago, during the last FIFA World Cup, I made a promise to myself. If I couldn’t afford to attend the next one in person, I’d make the investment in a television that’d make me feel like I was!
Sadly, I’m not jetting off to Russia in June, but true to my word, I am purchasing a new TV — and what better one to look at than the official TV of the 2018 FIFA World Cup; the Hisense ULED TV.

The Hisense ULED 4K TV range

Hisense’s ULED TV range includes a range of patented technologies that work together to produce an ultra high-quality viewing experience, especially for sport.
Their ULED range comes in 55″, 65″ and 75″ sizes that surprisingly won’t break the bank (or have my partner filing for divorce). The Hisense Series 7, 8 and 9 ranges each will all but guarantee my World Cup viewing enjoyment as they feature:

  • Ultra Wide Colour Gamut
  • Ultra Local Dimming
  • Ultra HD Resolution
  • Ultra Smooth Motion

A lot of that meant nothing to me, as for me buying a TV had previously meant the one that looked the nicest, but as I learned more about them I knew I was buying the right TV for my World Cup viewing.
Do you remember back when watching sport on an LCD TV was like watching ghosts scamper all over the screen? Thankfully Hisense’s Ultra Smooth Motion system means you’ll never have to worry about it again. The system adds frames into the picture, making it silky smooth like you’re right there in the stadium.

Having an Ultra Wide Colour Gamut is a fancy way of saying it displays over a billion colours with perfect accuracy.
Blacker blacks are the holy grail of LCD TVs and with Ultra Local Dimming it’s better than ever. The Series 9 TV can reduce the amount of light coming from an area of the screen creating the blackest blacks you’ve seen.
An Ultra HD Resolution gives you four times the number of pixels to display the clearest of images. Streaming services built into all ULED TVs like Netflix and Stan support the higher resolution and while TV isn’t quite broadcast in 4K yet, there’s plenty of content to go around via UHD discs, gaming consoles and more.

Gaming on a Hisense ULED TV

The fun doesn’t stop when the World Cup ends either. Connected to a console the Hisense ULED TV and its purpose built “Game Mode” make for the perfect FIFA gaming combination. By using a PS4 Pro or an Xbox One X you get lightning fast input response while experiencing the game in full Ultra HD 4K resolution.
