Hisense Sound Bars to Arrive in Australia in 2019

LAS VEGAS, 8 January 2019 – At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Hisense Australia today announces its move into a new category for the local market in 2019, with the launch of its sound bar range.
Hisense’s sound bar offering is in line with the company’s increased focus on audio in 2019. This includes the introduction of Dolby Atmos across its entire 4K ULED TV range as well as the integration of award-winning dbx-tv technology in its enormous, 100-inch 4K Ultra HD Smart Dual Colour Laser TV with HDR, complemented by high-quality JBL Cinema Sound featuring a wireless subwoofer.
Speaking at CES, Andre Iannuzzi, Head of Marketing at Hisense Australia said, “At Hisense we continue to innovate with the latest technologies to provide our Australian consumers with the ultimate at-home cinematic experience. This year, we’ve put an even greater emphasis on sound to ensure we can deliver on this and the introduction of the sound bar range is yet another example of how we are responding to consumer demand.”
“2019 is set to be our biggest year yet. Launching sound bars in the Australian market, together with significant audio improvements across our TVs is all part of our mission to provide our Australian customers with even greater opportunities to immerse themselves in a premium, at-home viewing experience,” Iannuzzi added.
The new category will be launched in H1 2019, with two sound bars landing on Australian shores.
For Australian consumers seeking a high-quality audio solution, Hisense will release a 5.1.2 channel Dolby Atmos Sound Bar offering an immersive and impactful cinematic experience. The Dolby Atmos surround sound technology will utilise 11 built-in speakers with four upward-firing drivers to ensure sound comes from all directions, including overhead. The result is a multidimensional sound experience with astonishing clarity, richness, detail and depth. In addition, the wireless 8-inch subwoofer enables listeners to experience the full impact of deep bass.
The Hisense 5.1.2 channel Dolby Atmos Sound Bar also supports DTS:X, 4K and HDR pass-through, to ensure the sharpest sound complements the premium picture quality of Hisense TVs. It will also support HDMI, Bluetooth, AUX, USB, Optical and Coaxial connections.
Also new to market, the entry-level 2.1 channel Sound Bar with wireless subwoofer features Dolby Digital and DTS technology. With the wireless 6.5-inch subwoofer, the sound bar has been designed to perfectly replicate deep bass, while the 40 Hz – 20 kHz frequency response ensures all the nuances of sound are captured while providing listeners with a crisper, cleaner and clearer sound experience. An array of convenient connection methods are also offered, including HDMI, Bluetooth, AUX, USB, Optical and Coaxial.
Further detail, including pricing and availability, will be confirmed in H1 2019.
