SYDNEY, Friday 6 December 2019 – Hisense Australia today announces it will bring 8K viewing to Australians in 2020, starting with the introduction of its new ULED 8K TV.
Hisense’s first ever 8K TV to hit the Australian market will be packed with leading sound and image technologies, including Quantum Dot Colour, Full Array Backlight, Full Array Local Dimming, Dolby Vision ™ HDR and Dolby Atmos® Audio.
Optimised upscaling with AI
The ULED 8K TV is armed with Hisense’s proprietary Hi-View Engine, which leverages Artificial Intelligence (AI) to recognise and upscale low-resolution content to impeccable 8K from a variety of content sources. This means users can watch live TV, enjoy the best streaming platforms and even play video games upscaled to 8K resolution, providing the highest quality viewing experience at all times.
Speaking of the company’s local foray into 8K, Head of Marketing at Hisense Australia, Andre Iannuzzi, said: “At Hisense, 8K is something that we have been trialling, testing and fine-tuning for many years. It’s an exciting innovation that promises an elevated viewing experience for customers no matter the source, be that free-to-air TV, streaming or gaming.”
“Now is the time for us to show Australians what Hisense can bring to the 8K table. What better way to do this than by introducing 8K TV in our most premium television brand, ULED, as a demonstration of our commitment to exceptional picture, intuitive features and showstopping design.”
Striking composition
Encased in a stylish metal frame with a thin diamond cut edge, design-conscious consumers will enjoy the TV’s sleek, minimalist design. Its stand is finished in a dark, brushed aluminium, which adds further to the unit’s stylish and contemporary aesthetic.
“Our ULED 8K TV takes advantage of all that 8K has to offer to create a viewing experience that is truly spectacular. We can’t wait to see it in Australian living rooms next year and are confident our customers will experience nothing short of brilliance in colour, clarity and sound.”
More information on the pricing and availability of the Hisense ULED 8K TV will be shared in H1 2020.
